Jimmy Griffin

Biography

Over the years, Jimmy’s practice has been primarily devoted to personal injury matters and he has experience on both sides of the docket. He has experience with all kinds of litigation, including business disputes, HOA suits, collections, and non-compete/trade secrets disputes. Jimmy has primarily practiced solo, but has also worked with large, small, and medium sized firms over the years, including a stint serving on the trial team with a large firm engaged in a mass tort litigation involving a major drug company alleged to have caused heart damage to thousands of patients.

Jimmy graduated from The University of Texas Plan II Honors Program and then The University of Texas School of Law. He resides in Bellaire, Texas, where he grew up and where he was a past Chairman of the Planning and Zoning Commission. His children all attended Bellaire High School, as did he. His wife teaches school at a well-known private middle school in central Houston. He enjoys the food and Mr. Blues at Pico’s. He enjoys sports and played basketball with the Worms from 1978 until 2013, when he could no longer keep up. He still meets oocasionally with attorney friends who played softball in the Houston Young Lawyer League and TYLA State Tournament. Until COVID put an end to it, he continued to oversee a twice weekly pick-up game at the AOS gym. Golf and poker are less physically demanding but not less competitive and have proven to be a way to keep up with friends over the last year.
